Who are any of us, really? We are but sacks of flesh made sentient and cursed with financial obligations and laundry.
But I’m guessing you mean the question in the conventional sense, in which case my name is Dai Harwood.
I’m a horror author and lifelong storyteller, bookworm, and cinephile. Originally from Wales, I’ve lived in Texas for the past 18+ years.
At uni, I wrote my dissertation on David Lynch.
I used to host a podcast about The X-Files.
I’m currently writing a horror novel called Bitten as well as some other stuff. Hang around a while for more updates coming soon.
Why do you like scary movies? And books? And writing scary books?
The honest truth is that I believe that horror is the most diverse, unpredictable, and malleable genre. It can be almost anything. And it can be about almost anything.
Horror can be gross, goopy, gory, fun or it can be poignant, emotional, and devastating. I love all of it.
A lot of big topics can be explored through the horror genre — whether literally, metaphorically, or in some uniquely gonzo batshit crazy way that there isn’t even a word for in English yet.
Can I come play with you forever and ever and ever?
